In this section, the Willow Park community can share information and advice with one another on a range of issues from holiday camps to books and uniform suppliers.  It may be particularly helpful for families who are new to the school, new to Dublin, or new to the country.  If you want to share information on a service you found helpful, please get in touch (wpacommittee1920@gmail.com).

It’s important you know that we will never take any funds for the products or services we put on this website.  We are also not endorsing any service or product.  We are simply sharing information from our parents that may be helpful for other families.  Parents should always do their own due diligence when selecting or dealing with any company listed.

DIRECT2SCHOOL BOOKS

Direct2schoolbooks was set up by two Willow Mums to save parents time and remove the stress of sourcing the contents of the annual book list. The entire contents of your son’s book list will be delivered directly to his classroom for his first day back at school.  Every item is labelled with his name and class form.

With a vast knowledge of primary schoolbooks and accompanying stationery items, we strive to provide you with the best possible service, with no missing or incorrect books in your order.

THE SCHOOL SHOP

The school shop, operated by parent volunteers Tricia and Claudette, is open daily from 8.30 until 9.00 and is situated on the Fourth Form Corridor.
On sale are all the necessary stationery items, pencil cases, etc, and copybooks/notebooks as well as
mouthguards and boot bags. The school only accepts cash.
Each class visits on a scheduled school day. When restrictions are lifted and it is safe for the boys to mix, they can visit the shop any morning they wish.
Confirmation will come directly from the school of any changes to the current policies.

 

SCHOOL BUS SERVICE

Please note that these are private services not arranged by the school.

Operating from Foxrock and Surrounding Area.  Additional option to also use from Willow Park School to Mt. Anville.  If you are in an area not currently service, please contact (button below) with details. Cost is €25 one-way/€35 return per week.  If you have any questions, contact Alan at 0876532106.

Dalkey Service

Registration for the Dalkey school bus for 2021/22 will be available toward the end of June. Bus will be approx. 30 euro per week return stopping at 7 stops between Dalkey, Dun Laogahire and Monkstown. For further information and expression of interest email Willowparkschoolbus@gmail.com

Life Skills Academy

The Life Skills Academy Excellence Camp provides Boys and Girls, aged 7-14, with a unique opportunity to experience 6 essential Life Skills in a Fun and Safe Environment. Our Life Skills include Cooking, Self Defence, Survival Skills, Sports Development, Tech Skills, and First Aid. Each Life Skill is taught by a top professional in their field.

Watching youngsters grow in confidence as they master the art of sailing is one of the great rewards for us. Our courses will entertain, challenge, and stimulate your children as they learn how to master a sailing dinghy afloat - and have fun along the way.

At the Academy of Code, students (ages 8-18) will discover the exciting world of coding through languages including Java, Scratch, HTML-CSS, and more. We aim to give each and every student a solid grounding in programming, in an enjoyable and non-pressurised environment.

SuperSonic Trampoline Club

This July will finally see a return to action for SuperSonic, with our one-of-a-kind SUMMER CAMPS in Loughlinstown! We are very excited to be back, so expect more fun, games, gymnastics, tricking, and of course, as much trampolining as you can handle!

We are delighted to announce the popular return of our Multi-Sport Summer Camps! Catering for children aged 5 to 12 years the ethos of our Summer Multi Sport Camp is to provide an enriching, inclusive and welcoming environment full of fun where children can try a range of sports and activities.  Booking goes live May 5th

Dun Laoghaire School of Music

Music camps organised by Catherine Madden ( Music teacher at Willow) are taking place in Willow Park school for children aged between 4 and 13 years of age from 28th June for 4 weeks. These active music camps have been successfully running for over 25 years and have proved most popular with children and  parents.
Activities include introduction to instruments such as violin, guitar , keyboard ukelele, plano,  songwriting, rock bands for older kids, plus dancing,  music theatre and singing. You don't need to be able to play an instrument to join this camp. The emphasis is on fun and building confidence, 
There is a concert every Friday which will be videoed for parents.

PQ Summer Soccer Camp

Past pupil of Willow Park and Blackrock college. Former captain of Blackrock Senior Soccer Team and League of Ireland Senior Team for Cabinteely FC.
Currently coaches Blackrock Soccer Team and Willow First Year Soccer and runs private coaching business: PQ Coaching. FAI trained.

Morning camp - 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Afternoon camp - 1.30pm to 3.30pm. 


The weeks currently available are:

Week 1: 7th-11th June.

Week 2: 14th-18 June.

Week 3: 21st-25 June.

Week 4: 28th June-2nd July. 


Week 5: 12th-16th July.

Week 6: 19th-23rd July.

Week 7: 26th-30th July. 


Cost per Camp is €150.
